How to submit new or revised tests to the Buros Institute:
If your test(s) are not listed with Test Reviews Online, the Tests in Print series, or The Mental Measurements Yearbook series, please provide the Buros Institute with three complimentary copies of all testing materials you wish to have considered. Test descriptions will be prepared from these materials in our specific format. We require three complete copies of each test, including their technical and supplementary manuals, in order to complete our evaluation process. One set is retained in our files, and two sets are needed for our reviewers. All commercially available English language tests received (or previously received and still in print) will be listed on Test Reviews Online and the Tests in Print series. Only those new or revised tests with at least minimal technical information about their development and psychometric properties will be fully reviewed in the Mental Measurements Yearbook series. Please consider the following: 1) Complete testing materials must be sent to us for our review, 2) Once submitted, testing materials may not be withdrawn from an ongoing review process, 3) Computer-based tests submitted for evaluation either must include printed test protocols and manuals OR present all information saved to a disk in an easily accessible format. The specific test name and test version must be clearly identified. In addition, for all tests administered on the internet, publishers must provide at least three login and password keys for the test evaluation to proceed. 4) For information on the rights and responsibilities of test takers, test publishers are encouraged to examine the website of the American Psychological Association at http://www.apa.org/science/ttrr.html To submit three copies of your testing materials to the Buros Institute for listing and review, please send them to: Linda Murphy Managing Editor Buros Institute of Mental Measurements 21 Teachers College Hall University of Nebraska-Lincoln Lincoln, NE 68588-0348If you have recently submitted test materials, please keep in mind that it may take as long as three months from the time test materials are sent until you see a written description. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Linda Murphy at lmurphy@unlserve.unl.edu |
How to change or delete testing information:
If test information previously listed with Test Reviews Online, the Tests in Print series, or The Mental Measurements Yearbook series has changed, is out of print, or is no longer published by your company, please use the following format to submit this information: 1) Log on to your publisher account 2) Click on "test listings" 3) Select the appropriate test 4) Correct this information in the appropriate field and make a brief note in the "Additional Notes to the Editor" block at the bottom of the test description 5) Click on "Approve this description" to process this action. If the test has been substantively revised (e.g., testing protocol has changed), please update the description to reflect the revisions. However, this information will not be processed or published until three complete complimentary copies of the revised test, along with all current technical and administrative documentation, are received by the Buros Institute. See How to Submit New or Revised Tests to the Buros Institute. If the test is out of print, please indicate that in the Additional Notes to the Editor block, and we will remove it from your listing. If the test has been transferred to another publisher or ownership has reverted to the author, please provide any information you have about who now distributes the test.
